#FreePress
#FreePress Is Trending Today The Boston Globe and over 300 newspapers and other media outlets have written editorials today about a #FreePress. We are fighting to have a Free Press to protect our cherished Democracy. The current President of the United States has been attacking the press because they won’t always cater to his extreme narcissism and insane agenda. He has experience in politics and seems to want to do whatever Vladimir Putin wants him to do. He also is very interested in what will make him money. Everything is transactional to Trump. This is completely unacceptable. Below are some top editorials and quotes from them: The Boston Globe: Journalists…

WordPress or Blogger?
WordPress or Blogger? I want to apologize to anyone from a WordPress blog who commented on Sunday’s post. For some reason, I can’t seem to make comments on blogs hosted by them anymore. One of the blogs offered the option to comment through Google+. Google+ refused to accept “Literary Lioness” as a real name, even though I used “Literary” as the first name and “Lioness” as the last name. Gee, I wonder why that didn’t work. Hmmm. Right now I don’t want my real name associated with the blog, although I probably will in the future. When will Google learn that forcing Google+ on people won’t work? Twitter and Facebook…

Snow Days I’m not a winter kind of girl, because I love warm weather, but my idea of a perfect snowy afternoon would be sitting in front of a lovely fireplace surrounded by cats and books. That is how I spent many snowy afternoons while I was growing up, especially on Sundays. The roast beef and potatoes for Sunday dinner would bake in the oven. My parents and I would sit in front of our living room fireplace and read. We would occasionally glance up and watch the snow falling outside. My father would read his magazines: Time, U.S. News and World Report. My mother would read biographies. I would…
What I Have Learned From Book Blogging
What Have I Learned From Book Blogging? I have learned so much. Mostly I have learned all the things that I DIDN’T know about book blogging. I must admit that I knew nothing about Advanced Reading Copies and that I could get free books to read before they were published. Vaguely aware that big-time book reviewers from places like The New York Times must get books ahead of time. I didn’t know that bloggers could get them! I also knew nothing about book publishing conferences such as Book Expo America, which I attended last year! My knowledge of CURRENT literature was severely lacking. I tend to read books by dead…
