My Brand-New Computer Was Built Especially For Me!
I Needed A New Computer My 10-year-old laptop was wonderful but starting to slow down. It kept overheating, and the battery was starting to die. There was no point in buying a new one for such an old laptop. I went out to buy a new laptop but quickly became disenchanted because the screens were so small. Using my computer for hours a day means that I needed a powerful computer with plenty of storage. Let’s Build A Desktop PC! My husband, Mr. Lioness, likes to build his own desktop PCs from scratch. I decided that it would be a very good idea to have him build ME one from…
WordPress or Blogger?
WordPress or Blogger? I want to apologize to anyone from a WordPress blog who commented on Sunday’s post. For some reason, I can’t seem to make comments on blogs hosted by them anymore. One of the blogs offered the option to comment through Google+. Google+ refused to accept “Literary Lioness” as a real name, even though I used “Literary” as the first name and “Lioness” as the last name. Gee, I wonder why that didn’t work. Hmmm. Right now I don’t want my real name associated with the blog, although I probably will in the future. When will Google learn that forcing Google+ on people won’t work? Twitter and Facebook…
What I Have Learned From Book Blogging
What Have I Learned From Book Blogging? I have learned so much. Mostly I have learned all the things that I DIDN’T know about book blogging. I must admit that I knew nothing about Advanced Reading Copies and that I could get free books to read before they were published. Vaguely aware that big-time book reviewers from places like The New York Times must get books ahead of time. I didn’t know that bloggers could get them! I also knew nothing about book publishing conferences such as Book Expo America, which I attended last year! My knowledge of CURRENT literature was severely lacking. I tend to read books by dead…
Confessions Of A Book Blogger
Confessions Of A Book Blogger As a book blogger, I have some confessions to make. I hereby confess: I have never read any of the Harry Potter books. I have never read any of the Lord of the Rings books. I have never read any of the Hunger Games books. I have never read any of the Twilight books. I am sure that all of these are fine, fine books. But to be honest, they just don’t interest me. I don’t read them and I certainly don’t feel qualified to review them. More Confessions I don’t care about vampires, zombies, witches, fantasy, science fiction, or paranormal. Some of these books…
How To Become A Famous Blogger
Want To Become A Famous Blogger? Go to Book Expo America and the Book Bloggers Convention! You will learn so much! Perhaps you will become a famous blogger! It’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week! The first topic is: Community While the awards are a fun part of BBAW, they can never accurately represent the depth and breadth of diversity in the book blogging community. Today you are encouraged to highlight a couple of bloggers that have made book blogging a unique experience for you. They can be your mentors, a blogger that encouraged you to try a different kind of book, opened your eyes to a new issue, made you laugh…
