My Two Weeks In Review (Since October started)
- Got both the flu shot and newest Covid shot at the same time. One in each arm, like I did last year. My arms really hurt just like last time and felt sick for a day. Much better now and I’m glad I got them. I’m one of those people who gets the flu easily if I don’t get the shot. One winter I had it THREE times. I haven’t had the flu for over 15 years now because of the vaccines.

- Have been text banking for Kamala Harris and other Democrats on an almost daily basis. Sending thousands of texts to get people registered to vote and encourage them to VOTE FOR DEMOCRATS.
- Will be phone banking for Harris on Sunday night (10/13). I am always nervous when I phone bank. I did attend a previous a previous Zoom call on Conquer Your Phonebanking Phear and it helped a lot. There is another session on October 19th.
- Taking a hiatus from my other blog New Jersey Memories until the election is over. I have plenty of photos and draft posts just waiting to be posted! Just too busy with election work and family obligations!

I hope your efforts on the election pay off and that you save us from the facists who want to implement Project 2025. You are good to spend your time on this.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com

I completely agree. Project 2025 is absolutely terrifying. We really must fight back.

I love your table of contents at the beginning of the post. What a nice idea.
I don’t get the flu but still get the shot. For whatever reason, once I started doing that my yearly bought of bronchitis stopped. Probably psychological but I will not skip the shot for that reason. My doctor has me go to the Health Department for COVID shots so I usually space them a couple days apart.
I would think that phonebanking is harder now since our cell phones even give us warnings to not pick up the phone. Mine is always telling me that it suspects that the call is spam or robot or whatever Siri feels like that day. Glad your overcoming your fears of it!

Thank you for the nice comments!
Yes, I believe getting the flu shot helps prevent me from getting sick with other serious illnesses. I still get the occasional cold, but they are pretty mild.
Phone banking is frustrating because the majority of people do not answer their phones if it’s an unknown number. I know that I don’t!

I am praying this election goes that way. I can’t do another term of him.
Love all the jersey mentions, I myself am a jersey girl!
I have to make sure we are all registered to vote. Since we moved, I need to check which I will be doing this week,.
Have a great week, Lisa! Happy Reading!

Thank you so much! I am so sick of Trump. I love the positive energy that Harris and Walz bring to politics!

It’s great to see so many bloggers being active in the upcoming federal election. Despite the fact I’m Canadian, I have a definite interest in the outcome of the election. Have a great week!

Yes, for better or worse, the results of the U.S. elections affects the entire world!

I admire you for your work on the election. Excellent! Thank you.
We decided, after hearing several people complain about symptoms appearing for those who got both shots at once, to go ahead and get the new Covid now and the flu next week.
I need to take a look at some of your book reviews.
The Literary Lioness
Thank you! I really appreciate your comments!

Wow! You have been busy busy! Thanks for helping Kamala’s campaign. I am still so shocked that anyone would vote for Trump. I read an article the other day about a Hispanic man who came to America illegally stating that he was voting for Trump! SMH! Planning to read some of your other posts on the subject.
The Literary Lioness
Thank you. I have despised Trump from the 1980s. In the New York area we have known for a long time how bad he is!
